libdate-simple-perl software package provides a simple date object for Perl, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdate-simple-perl
libdate-simple-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdate-simple-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdate-simple-perl *
You will get with libdate-simple-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
